About This Scholarship
The Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) 2026 is one of the most prestigious fully funded international scholarship programs offered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China through the China Scholarship Council (CSC). The program aims to strengthen educational cooperation and cultural exchange by attracting talented students from around the world to pursue higher education in China.
The scholarship supports undergraduate, master's, doctoral, general scholar, and senior scholar programs across a wide range of disciplines, including Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Medicine, Economics, Agriculture, Social Sciences, and Humanities.
Recipients of the scholarship receive comprehensive financial support, including a full tuition waiver, free on-campus accommodation or accommodation subsidy, monthly living allowances, and comprehensive medical insurance. Students also gain access to world-class research facilities, internationally recognized faculty members, and opportunities for academic collaboration and cultural exchange.
Applications are generally submitted either through the Chinese Embassy in the applicant's country (Type A) or directly through participating Chinese universities (Type B). Applicants are advised to carefully review the admission requirements and deadlines of their chosen universities and prepare all necessary documents, including academic transcripts, recommendation letters, study plans, language proficiency certificates, and passport copies.
The Chinese Government Scholarship provides an excellent opportunity for international students to obtain high-quality education, conduct advanced research, and build global professional networks while experiencing China's rich culture and rapidly growing technological and economic environment.
