About This Scholarship

The DAAD EPOS (Development-Related Postgraduate Courses) Scholarship Programme is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and aims to train future professionals and leaders who will contribute to the sustainable development of their home countries. The programme offers fully funded Master's and selected PhD scholarships at accredited German universities in various development-related disciplines.

The scholarship covers monthly living expenses, health insurance, travel costs, study and research allowances, and, where applicable, tuition fees. Applicants are expected to have an excellent academic record, relevant professional experience, and a strong commitment to contributing to the social, economic, or technological development of their home country after graduation.

More than 40 postgraduate programmes participate in the EPOS programme, covering engineering, economics, environmental sciences, public health, agriculture, development studies, education, and related fields. Each participating university sets its own application deadline and admission requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Minimum two years of relevant professional work experience after graduation

Excellent academic record

Citizenship of a developing or emerging country
