ETH Zurich Excellence Scholarship 2025

The ETH Zurich Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) supports outstanding students for a Master's degree program at ETH Zurich. Switzerland is renowned for its high quality of life, excellent research infrastructure, and its central position in Europe. ETH Zurich consistently ranks among the top universities in the world, particularly in engineering and science disciplines. The scholarship covers the tuition fee waiver (which is already very low at ETH Zurich at CHF 730 per semester) plus a monthly stipend of CHF 11,000. The scholarship also includes a mentoring programme, with regular meetings with a dedicated ETH faculty mentor. Scholarship holders are integrated into the vibrant ETH Zurich academic community and have access to world-class research laboratories, seminars, and networking events. The selection process requires demonstration of outstanding academic performance in previous studies, high motivation, and strong references from academic supervisors. This is a merit-based program open to students from any country applying to specific Master's degree programs at ETH Zurich.
